Aunt Linell’s Pie Crust


Aunt Linell makes the best pies, and always shares. This is her crust recipe. Easy to make with the kitchen blender and with a little practice your crust can look as good as it tastes.



Aunt Linell's Pie Crust

Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes
Servings 2 crusts


  • 1 1/2 sticks of butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup shortening


  1. Place the ingredients into a blender and pulse several times until ingriedents are well blended.
  2. Then add 1/2 cup orange juice
  3. Pulse again until dough just begins to ball up. Your done, don't over do it!

  4. Chill for 30 minutes, and roll out two 9 inch pie crusts.

Recipe Notes

To add a little extra to the crust, brush it with an egg wash and sprinkle course sugar on top. My grandkids pronounced that it is sparkly!!!
