Bake at 350 for 8 -10 minutes. Let set on cookie sheet until cool. Makes 4 dozen

Sometimes the flour is extra thirsty and I can tell it needs more moisture. This you will learn from experience. To solve this I add water 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough is soft and playable in the mixer. I use a bosch for this one, simply because it is stronger. I large kitchen aid will work also.
Options:
I have played with the options with this recipe since I could bake late in the 60's.
The favorite is plain chocolate chips with my crowd.
My favorite is chocolate chips and nuts mixture.
I do however like white chocolate chips and dried cranberries combo also.
Store in an air tight container.
